Episode 14 – Lanntonio’s Wall of Crit

In this episode, Nevik and Breja are joined by Lanntonio, (the “font of knowledge”). Thank you, Lanntonio, for stepping in even though you got rather short notice. :)

You won’t hear Jen in this episode, because she got mobbed by an epic pack of allergens, led by a rare monster called “Springtime”. It only spawns once a year! She used some healing potions, but they weren’t quite enough to enable her to be ready to podcast this time around.

Diablo Gaming Night #3

I know, I know. It’s been awhile since our last gaming night. Things happen, hosts get busy. It happens right? Nonetheless we couldn’t miss out on an opportunity to beta-it-up with our wonderful listeners after Blizzard unexpectedly announced an OPEN BETA weekend.

Many laughs were had throughout the night and fortunately for us the beta servers remained stable enough for us to get a full run-through down to the Skeleton King. – though they came down almost immediately after. Our discussions varied quite a bit, as they tend to, so don’t hold it against us if we didn’t talk Diablo all night ^^.

We heard plenty of new voices on Mumble during the gaming night with RhoWoW, Smokimus and Zestyclam joining us for the first time ever. We were also joined by Lanntonio, Chaos and the bane of Nevik’s existence Rilandune.

If you couldn’t join us do not be troubled. Not only will there will be plenty of gaming nights after Diablo III finally launches, but we are also collecting and sharing BattleTags so that we all may game together when hell freezes over Diablo III launches.

Our next gaming night will likely occur the weekend following, so mark your calendars and clear your schedules! We look forward to looting for really reals with all of you really soon!

Upcoming Diablo Gaming Night #3

It’s been awhile since we last held a gaming night and with the announcement that Diablo III will be in OPEN BETA this weekend it’s about time we do another one! Yes, you read that correctly. Our next gaming night will be in none-other than the Diablo III beta!

Our third Diablo Gaming Night will be held this Saturday, April 21st at approximately 7pm PDT / 10pm EDT (Sunday April 22nd @ 12pm for the Australian east coast) and will run for at least a couple of hours. So what do you need to join in on the fun?

  1. Log in to your Battle.net account.
  2. Create your BattleTag if you haven’t already done so.
  3. Download the Diablo III beta client.

Finally, go download Mumble if you haven’t already. Once that is taken care of you’ll want to add the following IP address and port information:

Once connected to the Mumble server the details of the private game name and password will be provided. This information will be included in the server message when you connect (if Nevik remembers to include that this time), but feel free to ask in chat and the details will be provided.

Depending on the turnout we will most likely be playing through with fresh level 1 characters. Considering the 4 player limitation to each game we will probably have multiple games running concurrently, some of which may elect to be hardcore. Those details will be sorted out the night of the event.

Even if you don’t have time to download the beta client you’re still welcome to hop into Mumble and chat with us as that’s the whole point of our sanctioned game nights. The entire night will be recorded again and will be put up on the feed for all to enjoy afterwards. So come out and chat it up about a game that we all love.
